But, it is important to note that treatment works when the individual adheres to the procedures. The other therapies include family, individual, group sessions.
  • Medications– Certain class of psychiatric medications such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) help in controlling the compulsions and obsessions of OCD. If in case the OCD symptoms do not improve in some people with these medications, then they may respond well to antipsychotic medications.
