After pursuing a great career, knowledge, and experience in the field of psychiatry, Dr. Dr.Rangapriya Raghavan has an intensive hands on skills on addressing psychiatric and cognitive health issues in adults. She is currently working as a Consultant psychiatrist at Cadabam’s. She was done with her MBBS (Bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery) from Bangalore university in the year 2002.
Being well-versed with her skills and tools in clinical practice, training, and research, she got her training done in the West of Scotland psychiatry rotation and also passed the MRCPsych examination conducted by the Royal College in 2008 with a subsequent career grade post. Dr.Rangapriya also pursued a higher specialist training at the NHS Grampian that led to an award of CCT (Certificate of completion of training) in old age Psychiatry, the United Kingdom in February 2013.
She later worked as a substantive consultant in liaison psychiatry, at NHS Lanarkshire in April 2014. Her role leads the team in providing and developing a pan-Lanarkshire older adult in the liaison psychiatry services.
As a psychiatric expert, she believes that diagnosis and management of mental health problems in the general adult and the elderly population as well can manage a range of mental health conditions including organic and functional illnesses like depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, addictions, dementia, alcohol related brain disorders and other neuropsychiatric conditions like dementia in Parkinson’s disease etc.
Dr. Dr.Rangapriya Raghavan also has management experience and she was a study investigator on a project assessing the prevalence of anxiety and depression in patients with interstitial lung disease- ethics.
She as well served a busy post as a senior trainee in the traditional community mental health team that included RMO responsibilities and complex presentations.
Her profound skills in all her endeavors prove she is a person who is innovative in giving out evidence based therapies to treat psychiatric illnesses that can pave a way to the betterment of society.
