Dr. B. R. Madhukar

Dr. Madhukar does not require an introduction. Over the previous 23 years, a seasoned campaigner in psychiatry and addictive behavior has selected his field of specialization: Adult Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine As a young psychiatric student, Dr. Madhukar observed people of all ages succumb to street and pharmaceutical drugs, ruining otherwise normal lives. Others began as social drinkers before succumbing to their addiction. He set out to treat them, armed with the belief system that would assist them. Since then, this has been his life's work.

As he grew in stature, he went to the elderly to assist them. He recognized that age generates mental pressure, which leads to various psychological difficulties. More poignantly, he witnessed the elderly being abandoned by their loved ones, and he felt strongly for them. As a result, he has shifted his primary focus to adult psychiatry, where he treats illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and depression. Dr. Madhukar has served on the Executive Board of the Indian Psychiatric Society (Karnataka State). He is now the Cadabam Group's Director of Medical Services.
