“Appearances can be deceptive”. This famous English proverb fits too well in the case of celebrities. We all have always adored and wished to live the lifestyle of our celebrities, but there’s more to this than meets the eye. Hidden amidst the reel life we see in the cinema, there’s a flip side in their real life – the traumas, unhealthy behaviours, and many difficulties.

Many celebrities who got sober have complained about how their excessive dependence on drugs abused and affected their lives. While many chose to remain silent about their drug abuse problem, others have openly voiced their struggles during drug addiction treatment, managing cravings and withdrawal symptoms that could deter recovery, the danger of relapse, and how they emerged victorious over substance abuse.

Many sober celebrities who spent years in and out of rehab centres shared their experiences of how they waded out of the darkest phases of their lives. Their recovery stories became popular as they explained how realising the purpose of life prompted them to recover from the lure of any drug or stimulant.
