Life is a set of permutations and combinations. It consists of various activities that comprise daily living, and make life wholesome. Individuals with mental health disorders face significant distress and disability in performing activities of daily living. This consequently affects their self-esteem and confidence.

Cadabams offers supported living programs for individuals with a diverse range of mental health disorders. Through this program, we help individuals regain independence in their activities of daily living and help them rebuild their life. As the individuals continue their therapies and rehabilitation, supported living helps prepare them for a life outside the rehabilitation centre.

What is the supported living program at Cadabams?

Supported living is a program that helps recovering individuals regain their independence and self-confidence. The program is Cadabams’ effort to ensure that recovering individuals are prepared to face the challenges of the world outside the rehabilitation centre. As important as activities aimed at recovery like therapeutic approaches and medical management are, becoming independent in daily life too is as important.

The goal of rehabilitation is reintegration into society. However, just recovery isn't enough to live a contented life. Individuals need social skills, self-confidence, a sense of independence, and more to live a contented life. While traditional recovery approaches help in symptomatic relief and suppressing the disorder, individuals also need to be prepared for discharge from the rehabilitation centre, and the daily rigors of daily life. This is where the supported living program at Cadabams helps.

What does the program involve?

  • Consultation: Cadabams' mental health specialists meet with the family and the person to discuss the assisted living program. The essence of the program and what it includes are conveyed to individuals and family members.

  • Independence in activities of daily living. The individuals are encouraged to go ahead and perform certain daily tasks on their own. These activities are performed under medical supervision and the individuals are always safe and recovering.

What are the highlights of Cadabams' Supported living program?

  • Supported Living is a one-of-a-kind program that helps people gain independence and self-confidence while battling mental illnesses. It allows people to keep working while undergoing extensive rehabilitation.
  • Individuals with mental health illnesses do require some level of monitoring from skilled mental health specialists. We guarantee that persons who pursue activities of daily life on their own are constantly under medical care, so they are always safe and on the road to recovery.
  • The Assisted Living program assists the client in discovering latent qualities or abilities that may have been obscured by the stigma associated with mental illness. Individuals can discover and develop their skills.

Many psychiatrists utilize our psychosocial rehab services for their clients. In cases where the resident is referred from a psychiatrist for psychosocial interventions, the referring psychiatrist also becomes part of the treating team and he/she will be regularly updated about the progress and will also be involved in the overall care. Hundreds of eminent psychiatrists trust us with their clientele when it comes to residential care & rehab.

03
Admission under Special Circumstances

We have a number of patrons from various countries and different parts of the country seeking admission. We also have mental health professionals across the country referring us to complex cases that require psychosocial intervention. Under special circumstances where it is not feasible to visit or in case of a crisis/mental health emergency the Director-operations will guide the family after assessing the need for intervention.
