  • Nov 1992

    Sets up Residential Rehabilitation Centre for the Mentally Disabled in a rented premises, near Konanakunte on Kanakapura Main Road. Ms.M.K.Saraswathi joins Cadabam'S as it's first counsellor. The Centre was inaugurated by Sri Tallam N.Nanjunda Setty, a venerable Name in the business circles of Bangalore. Smt.Vinaya Prasad popular cine & TV artist and Sri. Sivaram, famous character actor of Kannada Screen graced the occasion.

    Cadabam'S Home for Mentally Disabled Trust is Registered under the Indian Trusts Act.

  • Nov 1994

    Second Anniversary celebrated. What was started with just 4 residents in 1992 has 25 residents now. With the steady growth Cadabam'S plans to build it's own premises in a larger area. About 7 and half acres of land is purchased in Gulakmale Village, near Kaggalipura on Kanakapura Road.

  • Sept 1995

    Foundation for the new residential block laid by Masters Sandesh R.Cadabam & Sheryas R.Cadabam, Sons of Mrs.Sudha & Mr.C.M. Ramesh, founder Trustees. A "Navagraha"Temple is established by Cadabam'S at Sampige Village, Tumkur District in the premises of Temple of Lord Srinivasa, family deity of Cadabam'S.

  • June 1996

    H.H.Sri.Sri.Vishwesh Tirtha Swamiji of Sri Udupi Pejawara Mutt visits Cadabam'S and turns the first sod and lays the foundation stone for the Administrative Block.H.H.Shri Vidyabhoosana Tirtha Swamiji of Sri Subramanya mutt visits.

    4th Anniversary Celebrations. The then Minister Sri.V.Somanna presides over the function. By now the number of Residents under going Rehabilitation has gone up to 52. Mr.M.Srinivasa, MLA & Sr.M.Srinivasa consulting Psychiatrist, Commend Cadabam'S Services.

  • 5yrs Anniversary

    The 5th anniversary of Cadabam'S home for the mentally disabled was inaugurated by social welfare minister K.M.Krishna Reddy and minister for prisons V.Somanna on Sunday.

  • Feb 1997

    The new campus at Gulakamale Village is named after "Amitha" in memory of Late Sister of Mr.Ramesh C.M.The new campus is inaugurated by Late.Sri J.H.Patel, the then Chief minister of Karnataka, Dignitaries like Mr.Krishna Reddy, Minister for social welfare, Mr.V.Somanna, minister for Prisons and Home guards Sri.M.Srinivasa MLA Sri.H.D.Kumaraswamy M.P.and others are present.

    5th Anniversary Celebration at Town hall, Bangalore. Sri.Krishna Reddy Minister for Social Welfare & Sri V.Somanna Minister for Prisons and Home Guards are Chief Guests. Cadabam'S felicitate Dr.(Smt.) Suvarna Psychiatrist, who was treating amitha along with four other Eminent Psychiatrists. In the old premises another Centre "Cadabam'S Home for Mentally Ill" set up. Mr.A.R.R.Rao and Mrs.Rajamani Rao takes over as functional directors of this home, with Dr.Niranjan, Mr.C.M.Ramesh, Ms.M.K.Saraswathi, Mrs.Sudha R.Cadabam, Mr.C.S.Gopalakrishna, Mrs.Suvratha, Mrs.Sampath Kumari and Mrs.Surya Kumari as other Directors. Ms.M.K.Saraswathi takes over as Admnistrator of New Campus.

  • Nov 1998

    6th Anniversary celebrated in "Raj Bhavan", Bangalore with H.E. Sri.Khurshed Alam Khan, Governor of Karnataka as chief guest. The Governor appreciates the work done by Cadabam'S in the service of mentally disabled. The Governor goes round an exhibition of Paintings and Handicrafts done by Residents of Cadabam'S and select Two Paintings for Raj Bhavan and presents mementos to Six Residents of Cadabam'S who were gainfully employed outside after undergoing rehabilitation at Cadabam'S. "Ashwasan" Released. By now the strength of Cadabam'S has grown to 73.

  • April 1999

    7th Anniversary celebrated at the Sri. Adichunchunagiri Residential school for the blind, Ramanagaram. H.H.Sri.Sri.Sri.Balagangadharanatha Swamiji of the Adichunchanagiri Mutt and Sri.R.Ashok MLA graced the occasion. Cadabam'S donates uniforms to the children of Blind School. Additional land to the south of "Amitha" campus purchased for future expansion.

  • Nov 1999

    "Residential Rahabilitation Block" opened by H.H.Sri.Sri.Sri. Balgangadhara Swamiji. Dr.H.Narsimhiah renowned Gandhian and former V.C. of B.U. and president National Education Society was present. The total No. of Residents has grown to 87.

  • June 2000

    An Academic block consisting of Hostels for Trainee Nursing Students & Lecture Halls inaugurated by H.H.Sri.Sri.Sri.Balagangadhara Swamiji along with this one more residential block, recreational facilities, Ornamental Park, Horticultural Therapy section opened Smt.Nafes Fazal, Minister Sri.C.A.Someshwara Gupta, President Arya Mahila Sabha Sri.M.Srinivasa-Ex M.P. Sri.Balram Jakhad former Central minister and senior Congress leader participate foundation laid for a exclusive facility for the mentally ill, in the newly acquired land opposite to "Amitha" campus by H.H.Sri.Sri.Chandrasekharanandha giri swamiji of Sri.Vasavi Vidya Peetha. Mr.Ananthrag Yalamuri joins as one of the functional directors.

  • Dec 2001

    The Cadabam'S Home for the mentally ill in the old premises shifted to new campus "Amitha". With this No. of Residents goes to 140. Mr.A.R.R.Rao & Mrs.Rajamani R.Rao move to new campus as functional Directors. Dr.Niranjan continues as a member-Director. Ms.M.K.Saraswathi, Administrator becomes one of the Trustees. Dr.D.S.Aswath Dy.Commissioner, Bangalore Urban District visits and presents a computer to Govt.High School, Kaggalipura in a simple function.

  • 2001

    Cadabam'S hosts a website and brings out a V.C.D. in English, Kannada and Hindi perhaps the first NGO in this field to do so.

  • March 2002

    Cadabam'S granted License under Mental Health Act 1987 as a Licensed Rehabilitation Centre.

  • June 2002

    10th Anniversary celebrations.Sri.S.M.Krishna Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka presides, New Residential Block of "Tanmayee" inaugurated Cadabam'S introduces short and medium term Rehabilitation programmes, as well as user friendly Payment packages.

  • October 2002

    Cadabam'S is approved by Karnataka state Nursing council as a training centre for students of Nursing in Psychiatric Nursing."Neeraja" a bold and unique concept in rehabilitation is introduced. The first "Neeraja" outlet, a emporium dealing with gifts and Novelties opened. Four of our Residents are engaged in the shop. The number of Residents by now is 150.

  • 2002

    Cadabam'S is featured on Doordarshan National Network, Sahara TV & Udaya TV Interviews Mr.C.M.Ramesh and Mrs.Sudha Ramesh, seperately for their Parichaya Programme.

  • January 2003

    Sri.C.A.Mannarkrishnasetty father of Late Amitha and Sri.C.M.Ramesh Passes away. A charitable Trust formed in his name is inaugurated by Sri.P.G.R.Scindhia, MLA and Former minister.

  • March 2003

    "Neeraja-your choice-Food needs" a Grocery stores is opened. Another 4 Residents joins this venture. Additional land purchased to the West of Amitha Campus for proposed Institute of Nursing & Senior Citizens Home. From inception the total no. of Residents admitted for Psycho-Social Rehabilitation comes to 220, and the discharges is about 70.

    CADABAM'S 'ARPITHA' – A low cost rehabilitation centre to make mental health care more affordable and accessible Started Functioning.

    'ANANYA' CADABAM'S TRI STAR CARE– An elite mental health care centre that offers a holistic multi-disciplinary approach towards total well being Started.

    CADABAM'S 'ANUNITHA' – An exclusive De-addiction centre for alcohol and substance dependence Started.

    CADABAM'S distinguished psychiatrist award was instituted and it was given to Dr H.Chandrashekhar HOD, Dept of Psychiatry, BMCRI, Bangalore.
    CADABAM'S Mind Talk A centre for psychological and neuro psychiatric services was for preventive and promotive care at the heart of the city in J.P.Nagar was inaugurated by Dr H.R.Bharadwaj, His Excellency, Governor of Karnataka.

    CADABAM'S Film Festival A carnival of films with therapeutic aim was conducted at CADABAM'S Campus for the first time in the country movies were utilised as therapy for persons with mental health problems.
    The film festival was organised by the residents undergoing rehabilitation and had famous and who's who of the film industry being part of the festival like Sri Ramesh Arvind the most versatile and famous film kannada film actor, Sri Bhagawan a many national award recipient director of repute.

  • 2011

    CADABAM'S during the anniversary celebrations introduced one more award for Mental health professional along with Distinguished psychiatrist. This year Dr Anand Pandurangi received CADABAM'S Distinguished psychiatrist award and Dr R.Ranganathan received Distinguished Mental health professional award. Both awards were given by Dr H.R.Bharadwaj His Excellency Governor of Karnataka at Lalith Ashok Hotel.

  • 2012

    CADABAM'S celebrated its 20th Anniversary celebrations and for the first time there were two heads of states graced the occasion. Both the governors of Tamil Nadu and Governor of Karnataka graced the occasion and presented the awards to Dr P.V.Bhandary Distinguished Psychiatrist and Dr Dhanasekara Pandian, Distinguished Mental health professional.
    CADABAM'S brought out a Book titled “ VOICE OF MINDS” A pictorial and simple information book aimed at common man to educate about mental illnesses and eradicate stigma. It was released by Dr K.Rosaiah His Excellency Governor of Tamil Nadu.
    CADABAM'S Institute for Neuro Psychiatric Servises , the concept design of the proposed centre was unveiled by Dr H.R.Bharadwaj, His Excellency Governor of Karnataka. CADABAM'S for the first time conducted workshop of Cinema Therapy for mental health professionals to spread the message of how to use cinema as therapy for which one of the eminent person who is also an authority on cinema therapy Dr Birgit Wolz from USA was invited and she conducted the workshop.
